Anna Cain, MA, LPC

Anna Cain, MA, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is also a doctoral intern. Anna obtained her first Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Georgian Court University, and her second Master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati. She also has a post-baccalaureate in clinical psychology, and she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. to become a clinical psychologist. She is a doctoral intern from the psychology program at Walden University.

Anna has experience that is wide-ranging and across a variety of settings, as she has provided individual, group, and family therapy at a community mental health agency, in in-home settings, as well as in private practice. She mostly works with clients who experience issues related to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship problems, parenting-related concerns, and family stress. Anna utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and person-centered therapy approaches with her clients. She believes that counseling can provide people with the necessary tools to manage challenging situations and to achieve a clearer understanding and empowerment. Anna also believes that it is important to meet clients where they are at, and she finds joy in helping them discover their best selves.
