Dr. Caroline Calegari is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who brings over a decade of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. She holds a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Felician University, an APA-accredited program, as well as graduate degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kean University and Counseling Psychology from Rutgers University.
Dr. Calegari has provided care in a wide range of settings, including in-home services, outpatient clinics, schools, and hospital-based programs. Her clinical training included rotations at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she conducted psychological evaluations and provided therapy in both inpatient and outpatient environments. She has also gained experience working with community-based agencies and specialized treatment programs, supporting clients across the lifespan and addressing a variety of mental health needs.
Dr. Calegari has expertise in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating behaviors. She has worked in specialized PHP and IOP settings providing structured, evidence-based care to adolescents and adults with a range of eating concerns. Her work in this area includes individual and family therapy, group facilitation, and meal support, and she integrates her understanding of body image, trauma, and co-occurring conditions into a compassionate, whole-person approach.
In addition to her focus on eating disorders, she also specializes in anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. She is especially skilled in helping couples improve communication and strengthen their connection, and regularly supports families navigating conflict, transitions, or emotional distress. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, with a focus on building emotional insight and fostering meaningful, lasting change.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Calegari has taught undergraduate psychology courses and has provided supervision and mentorship to developing clinicians. At the Center for NeuroWellness, she offers thoughtful, integrative care with a deep respect for each client’s personal journey and capacity for growth.
