Cristen Lesher, MS

Cristen Lesher, MS, is a master’s-level psychometrist with a strong background in neuropsychological assessment and patient care. Her educational foundation blends the quantitative and qualitative aspects of psychological understanding, earned through a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Philosophy, from Tulane University, and a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from the University of New Orleans.  

Cristen began her career in mental health as a counselor at the nationally recognized Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, where she supported children and adolescents in a behavioral health inpatient unit. She later joined Brennan Behavior Group in New Orleans, where she advanced to manager of the testing department, overseeing operations and mentoring graduate students from the University of New Orleans.  

By working in a variety of clinical environments, Cristen has developed a compassionate and nuanced understanding of the unique challenges individuals face across different life stages, as well as the tailored strategies needed to address those challenges. Cristen is proud to contribute her expertise to the Center for NeuroWellness, where she specializes in conducting neuropsychological evaluations to support accurate diagnoses and inform personalized treatment plans. Her role is integral to the practice’s mission of providing comprehensive, evidence-based care that promotes mental and behavioral health for individuals across all stages of life. 

Outside of work, Cristen has volunteered as an academic tutor in New Orleans public schools and as a crisis counselor with the National Crisis/Suicide Hotline. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her rescue dog, Sadie, spending time with family, and cheering on the New Orleans Saints.
