Gina Falcone, Ph.D.

Gina Falcone, Ph.D. is a clinical neuropsychologist and licensed psychologist in New Jersey. She specializes in neuropsychology evaluations which includes assessing cognitive functioning, assisting with differential diagnosis and diagnosing disorders when appropriate, and providing targeted treatment recommendations. Her specialized interest and area of expertise is in adult and geriatric neuropsychology including cerebrovascular disease/stroke, dementia/neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia, movement disorders/Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, infectious diseases, pre-surgical evaluations, and decision-making capacity evaluations as well as other medical, neurologic, and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Falcone also has experience completing neuropsychological evaluations across the lifespan including developmental disorders, attentional disorders/ADHD, and specific learning disorders.

Dr. Falcone earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in neuropsychology from Suffolk University in Boston, MA. During her pre-doctoral studies, she completed neuropsychological training at Massachusetts General Hospital, VA Boston Health Care System, and educational evaluations within the Massachusetts school system. Dr. Falcone completed an APA accredited internship at St. Cloud VA Health Care System with a major area of focus in neuropsychology. In addition to neuropsychological evaluations, she performed cognitive and behavioral health interventions for patients with a variety of health problems including chronic pain, recovery from stroke/cerebrovascular injury, and sleep disorders such as insomnia and sleep apnea. She also has experience providing cognitive remediation with a focus on compensatory strategies in patients with cognitive impairment and severe mental illness. After internship, Dr. Falcone completed a two-year APA accredited neuropsychology post-doctoral fellowship at VA Connecticut Healthcare System/Yale School of Medicine with a specialty rotation in geriatric health. Prior to her doctorate, Dr. Falcone completed a master’s degree in Counseling from Pace University.

Dr. Falcone’s research interests include cognitive impairment of various etiologies and decision-making capacity. She has been published in and has continued interest in mindfulness and neuroimaging.

In her free time, Dr. Falcone enjoys taking trips with her family, attending local holiday festivals, playing board games, and loves all things Disney.
