Jennifer Palacios is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to guiding individuals, couples, and families through the complexities of emotional abuse recovery and relationship trauma. With a profound commitment to fostering healing and empowerment, Jen combines her expertise with a compassionate approach to therapy.

Jen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kean University, where her passion for understanding family dynamics and interpersonal relationships took root through various research studies. Driven by a desire to deepen her expertise, she pursued a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide. During her clinical internship at a substance use facility, Jen applied her skills in relational therapy to support individuals and families affected by trauma, laying the groundwork for her future work in private practice.

In her therapeutic practice, Jen believes in the power of self-discovery and healing, and she empowers her clients to rewrite their narratives through a trauma-informed, client-centered approach. By addressing past wounds and current stressors, Jen supports clients in building healthier relationships, enhancing communication, and managing conflicts with greater understanding and empathy both for themselves and for others.

Jen’s therapeutic approach integrates Family Systems Theory, the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, creating a holistic framework that helps clients gain insight into their relationships and themselves. This integrative approach allows individuals and couples to improve interpersonal interactions, foster love & appreciation, and achieve meaningful internal and behavioral growth.

Outside of the therapy room, Jen finds joy in the simple pleasures of life from exploring the mountainous outdoors through hiking to quality time with her family and immersing herself in novels.
